Dr. Lynnor Stevenson, Alta Biomedical Group, LLC
Lynnor Stevenson is a founder and Managing Partner of Alta Biomedical Group, a consulting firm specializing in technology commercialization. Her current clients at Alta Biomedical Group include both early-stage and established companies, as well as research institutions and non-profit organizations.She is a senior executive with thirty years of experience in executive and board-based management of high technology ventures, many based on university research. She started her career with nine years at Beckman Instruments and then served as President of California Medicinal Chemistry for five years. She later held executive positions in several other start-up companies that are now public companies, including VP for Corporate Development at Creative Biomolecules, now Curis (CRIS), VP for R&D at Advanced Polymer Systems now AP Pharma (APPA), Executive VP for world wide marketing at Agen (AGEN: Australia), President at Heska (see below). She was CEO at Cascade Oncogenics, Inc a private company, for five years.
Stevenson was the founding President of Heska Corporation (HSKA), a company providing biopharmaceutical and diagnostic products for companion animals. She served as President for four years and served on the Board of Directors from inception through May 2006. Stevenson spent five years as Director of Technology Transfer at University of Oregon, where she was responsible for creating five spinout companies. For six years, she was a Member of the Laboratory Advisory Committee for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) operated by Battelle for the Department of Energy. Stevenson also served as Chair of the Oregon Bioscience Association and Foundation for five years. She has served on the board of several privately held companies.
Dr. Stevenson received a Ph.D in Biochemistry from Monash University, Australia . She did post-doctoral work at Stanford University Medical School.
